Caint agus Comhrá is the name of a new book of role-plays specifically for students of GCSE Irish. Role-plays, which have not been a feature of GCSE Irish in recent years, will be part of the exam once again this year.

The publication of Caint agus Comhrá by Míle Fáilte is therefore, a timely boost to teachers and students of GCSE Irish as they prepare for the oral element of GCSE Irish. Ninety sample role-play based on the topics and themes of GCSE Irish are provided in a vibrant, colourfully illustrated publication which students will find attractive and engaging.

Topics covered include; family and friends, social media and technology, pastimes, eating out, shopping, leisure time and pursuits, school life, festivals and celebrations, home and local area, travel and holidays, health, environment, social problems, work, future plans, and money management.

For ease of access, the contents pages give the title of the role-play along with the relevant topic and context of learning, making it easy for teachers and students to find quickly the situations and scenarios they wish to work on.
